چکیده

Abstract Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) is an acute cardiac condition triggered by emotional or physical stress. General anesthesia and sympathetic activation are possible triggers for TC. However, little known about the role of sympathovagal activity in In our report, we present a female patient, aged 62, who underwent thyroidectomy at end surgery developed complications. The patient had no chest pain, but ST depression negative T waves on electrocardiogram (ECG). Cardiospecific enzyme troponin was elevated. Cardiac catheterization revealed unobstructed coronary arteries. Echo-cardiography enlargement left ventricle ejection fraction 40%. diagnosed with TC dual antiplatelet therapy introduced, beta blocker ACE inhibitor. It that perioperative period after this occured due to both parasympathetic activation. Probably, extraction large thyroid induced vagal stimulation which resulted hypotension bradicardia. subsequently treated adrenaline atropine. case, different intervals could result development condition.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy precipitated by delirium tremens

A 57-year-old woman presented with alcohol withdrawal symptoms, which later progressed to delirium tremens. During hospitalization, she developed respiratory distress with acute pulmonary edema. Electrocardiogram (ECG) showed diffuse ST elevation with elevated cardiac enzymes. Echocardiogram showed estimated ejection fraction of 20-25% with characteristic apical ballooning. After several days o...

Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy Precipitated by Tapering of Anxiolytic Medication: A Case Report

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is a transient apical ballooning of the left ventricle typically with electrocardiographic changes and enzyme release without evidence of obstructive coronary artery disease. It typically occurs in postmenopausal women and may have a predilection for patients with anxiety disorders. The following is a case in which we believe takotsubo cardiomyopathy was induced by the ...

Epilepsy and takotsubo cardiomyopathy: a case report.

A 60-year-old woman with a history of symptomatic seizures secondary to a subarachnoid hemorrhage was admitted to hospital because of a generalized seizure. The following day, her electrocardiogram showed negative T waves in II, III, (a)V(F), and V(2-6), and the echocardiogram showed an impaired left ventricular ejection fraction with ventricular apical akinesia. Head magnetic resonance imaging...

A case of takotsubo cardiomyopathy precipitated by lumiracoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor.

Considerable controversy exists regarding the cardiovascular safety of COX-2 inhibitors, both in patients with and without established cardiovascular disease. Currently, the major focus is on thrombotic complications presenting as myocardial infarction. I n this report, we present a case of takotsubo cardiomyopathy, also known as the apical ballooning syndrome, precipitated by the use of lumira...

Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy Caused by Pulmonary Tuberculosis: A Case Report

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) is defined as a reversible, acute ventricular dysfunction without any evidence of coronary artery obstruction. There have been reports of TTC caused by emotional or physical stress, drug use, hormone imbalance, or medical conditions such as pulmonary disease, sepsis, and trauma, but a relationship between TTC and pulmonary tuberculosis has not previously been repo...
